Ever wonder if there are machines disguised as humans inside ZION, Like some people that were freed, were actually machines in disguise. in fact, what if the only real humans are the ones born in zion. it was pretty easy for smith to download himself into a body. maybe all the plugged in "people" are software that were created to think they were human. they wouldn't know the difference. they feel human. they believe they're human. to convince them otherwise would be like convincing a split personality that they aren't real. they feel real. they have a body.
