»The Source«

This is one part of the whole movie that is getting me a bit confused. When Neo is meets the architect he is given the option of chosing 2 doors. The one his right leading to THE SOURCE and the salvation of Zion and the one on his left leading back to the matrix and to Trinity. Neo chose the left door and therefore he didnt meet the source. According to Morpheus's theory, once the ONE reaches the source the war should be over, but since Neo didnt see the source and chosed to save Trinity instead, would that affect the prophecy? He doesnt tell morpheus he didnt see the source.... Thats the only thing that has me a bit confused....

Even if Neo reached the source through the door on the right, all that would happen is that Neos code of his digital self and therefore the code of the ONE would simply be re-entered into the Source/Machine Mainframe resulting in the Matrix being reloaded.

All the prophecy was, was a "story" that was created by the architect in order to control those in Zion. Another form of control. Although the prophecy is true in a way. The prophecy is true in that the ONE will end the war - but not the way morphius believes it will i.e. that the machines will be destroyed. The prophecy is only true in that the ONE will save the human race - both in Zion and in the Matrix.
