The movie was ingenius. I payed close attention to every potential detail of solving clues etc. Thats probably why I loved it & alot of people hated it, because you need to take in every detail. Like most people I know don't get why Smith was destroyed when he assimilated Neo. I've said this in other topics, but Neo was connected to the source and when Smith assimilated him, he was connecting himself to the source and when an exile program returns to the source, they are deleted. As the shining cross appeared on Neos chest, it became apparent to me that he was going to be revived or just come back as did Jesus, who died like Neo. A sacrifice for all forms of intelligence, as the narrator in the Second Renaissance indicated by saying "bless all forms of intelligence for their sins". So gathering facts like this from watching the Matrix saga, made The Matrix Revolutions the greatest movie I've ever seen!

Well..... here I am.

People are getting downloaded copies and realising how much better it is on a second watch. My downloaded version makes my computer crash after a certain amount of time so I'm DYING to get the DVD! (I'd want the DVD anyway, but now I'm DESPERATE! Aaaaagh!)

I refuse to vote here because of how biased these polls are. Revolutions was obviously a terrible movie by any critical person's standards.

Hehe I hadn't noticed this poll until I got the link. That was after someone complained in THAT thread that it was biased towards the movie being BAD. Now there's someone here saying that the poll here is biased towards is being GOOD!

You must be getting sick of this Knn, eh?

Not, really, but I am a little bit disappointed that polls in general get so little attention. Not only in this forum but in others, too

Stinkz, you post this on the 10th of March. 48 days ago (22nd of Jan) you were aware of this poll matrix-explained.com.... And although you knew it, you state how biased the polls are. What's going on here?

Welcome back knnknn, It's definitely good to see you're posting again.

Just wondering...do you still think Revolutions sucked? hehe

Unfortunately no one can be told what The Matrix is...You have to see it for yourself.

Sucked is probably the wrong term. The answers were not satisfying.

Well it ruled and theres rumours that the Dvd for Revolutions is going to be Directors Cut. Although this sounds nothing like the Wachowskis who said in an interview they don't have directors cuts for the Matrix because it's already what they wanted. But if the Revolutions DVD is going to be directors cut....YES!

Why is it so hard for some to believe that we do actually get the answers but can still be unsatisfied with them?

Makes perfect sense to me. Some people think that the wachowskis have not given a full enough story. Some people wanted the movie to say something else. Some people are annoyed that people are depicted surviving in a world with no plants or light and that humans are being used to produce energy when it is impossible. If it was a matrix in a matrix at least we might say that we never see the true world or perhaps that the real world has plants and light and humans are harvested for a different reason.

I remember that Freedom, who used to be on here more often, was convinced that the Wachowskis did not believe that true freedom was possible. I'm not sure that this is a fair interpretation, but it certainly wasn't a view that left him with an incomplete story.

The problem with the matrix is that there are so many interpretations. I have looked at the matrix in terms of:
Berkleian philosophy
Gnostic Christianity
Orthodox Christianity
Nietzschian Philosophy
And they all work perfectly (I also looked at Buddhist theology but, though there are definite influences, I'm not sure it works so well once you start looking at the sequels)

Maybe you have if you have one set of answers and they aren't very satisfying, maybe you could look at alternative interpretations? But then again that can get confusing.

lol, knnknn... I was being sarcastic. When the other poll was up, people kept complaining that the poll was biased. I was mocking them. Sorry for the confusion.

I get what you mean knnknn. It has to do with how you look at life really. I liked revolutions way more then reloaded because reloaded (while I still loved it, and thinks it may be a better movie then revolutions) Because it was missing themes that were in M1, while M3 had them.

One of them was the sense of doom, uncertainty, and what I can only describe as emotional connectivity. While Reloaded had a little bit of all these things, it wasn't enough for me.

The other one was "how's this going to go." While I think the ads gave too much away, and certain things were predictable (I knew they were going to kill off Neo the moment his eyes were blown out). I also think they wanted to make the audiance know for a fact he was going to die. That was part of the movie's point.. the body breaks down, and the end comes for you.

Ok.. I'm just rambling now.. So I'll just drive home what revolutions did to how I think of the matrix films.

After M1 I thought it was origanal and interesting food for thought. M2 I thought did more of the same, much better, great entertainment. M3 put a nail in the coffin, and the matrix went from something I liked a whole lot, to a total obsession I can't get out of my head, can't stop thinking about.

Sorry, just an add on... to put it better. The other matrix films made me think about ideas. Revolutions made me think about "it". (and other ideas of course)

Reloaded and Revolutions were discriminated big time. I mean, no Oscar nominations? Have you seen better special effects than the ones in The Matrix? And also, the original score for Revolutions was great! They deserved at least a nomination (if not the Oscar) in each one of the above categories.

Just because it didn't ended the way everybody wanted it to end, is no reason to leave it out like that! Nono

I realize this is just my opinion, but I don't see how anyone could not like Revolutions. Mind you, it goes and ends in a way I probably wouldn't have, but the film as a whole and as an end is really cool.

I can't see why so many people have had issues with 3.

Even though Revolutions was the worst of the three Matrixmovies; it's still far better than any movie that has ever been made (and any movie that ever will be made)...

For all the people in this forum, who got disappointed after seeing it, I can only say, that i completely disagree...
