Because it was terribly dissappointing to all who actually spent time thinking about Revolutions before it came out.

they find it disappointing because they overthought Revolutions before they saw it and it did not confirm their ideas about the film or live up to their expectations of what they thought should happen.

i for one like Revolutions and the Trilogy as a whole, and find Revolutions more enjoyable the more i think about it after i have seen it. people might be looking in the wrong places to find answers about the film. lots of misdirection

Same, the whole Matrix Saga (all the movies, comics, game, anime) kicks arse & those whose expectations where ruined should stop & think about the movie as it is & at least try to appreciate it as it is instead of complaining!

Well..... here I am.

It's quite harsh to tell that 'Revolutions' did suck, it had nice bit of action, and it still included that something.
Just consider it as a 6 hours long movie, you find it way better than as a one film. Whatnow

I would have to disagree, mud. If they had left it as one singular movie, the matrix would have been far superior to what it is now.

Might be so, but I'm still glad it turned out this way.

Well, in my opinion, it was a bit dissappointing, but I consider this poll to be VERY unfair, and that's BAD.

Nono The final Matrix was horrible! i had high expectations and many questions and i believe the wachowski bros could have done a muvh better job. What started off as an original, action filled, masterpiece with many great clliffhangers and amazing analogies that relate to our world ended up in the crapper after the release of Revolutions. it turned into a sappy love story with the stupidest ending possible! I never liked trilogies to begin with but when Matrix came out with sequels i thought id give them a try since the first one was the best movie i had ever seen. It was one of my young life's greatest dissapointments.

I have to agree. The movie (compared to the other 2) is SHIT.
Also, you can't say "ohh, I wish that was different. You could change a million things in that movie, and stiil it would be crap.

Hell, when I went to the Cinema to watch it, I was 100% sure that in the end, it would say: "the real matrix 3 comes out in 1 year"

And "Made in China"

After I saw how appalling the last LOTR movie was, Matrix Revolutions was forgiven instantly!

At least I actually cared about the people who died in matrix revolutions. At least there wasn't a half an hour of people jumping on beds and crying at the end. So what if there were some corny lines? It was great fun - just not as cool as the other two and not the masterpiece I expected.

Quite apart from it not fulfilling people's idea of how it should be resolved there was appalling acting and corny lines. While the main characters could stay cool no matter what - the other less well known actors playing parts like Zee and the Kid were horrible to watch.

I'm afraid that I can't vote on this either because

there's no "It was OK" tickbox; and...
it'd be good to watch it again on video before commenting

I'm sorry Fatpie, but LOTR was far superior to Revolutions as a movie. Yes, it was much too sentimental, and had about 6 too many endings. However, overall, the actors were better, the story was better, the action was better. . . everything about the movie was better!

Everything that was good about the LOTR movies was due to the cinematography and the book they were based on.

I'll be the first to give it an award for cinematography, but acting is only as good as it is directed and scripted and so in those movies it was bad.

The matrix had a good story, which for the most part was not ruined by the few bad lines we came across. The matrix produced in me excitement and intrigue, while LOTR only produced boredom and revulsion.

Give me the LOTR books rather than the movies, but nothing can replace the matrix trilogy....

You overlook the fact that the only good elements of plot in the Matrix trilogy were in the first movie. The second and third movies were nothing but superflous. In fact, they actually made the Matrix worse.

I really liked the chase scene, and the ending, and any scene with Smith, like when he takes over the oracle, that was cool, and the architect's room.

In fact I loved the sequels! I just thought some of the lines in revolutions were a bit naff.

I think it would have sufficed to watch Matrix 1, and at most, the trailors for the next two movies.

I cannot vote on this one.
All three movies were excellent, each on it's own way.

M1: What is the Matrix? Finding and guiding the One.

M2: Purpose of the One: meisure of control or maybe not? + more discoveries within the Matrix-universe

M3: Passion of the fighting Zionists + finishing the TRUE prophecy thanks to love.

Matrix 3 answered all the questions, directly or indirectly; you just have to think about it.

Mobil Ave station for instance was very simply just a firewall/router to filter out unwanted programs from the Matrix. It got corrupted/hi-jacked by the Merovingian. It was also a brilliant symbolization to a place where you go if you are not ready for heaven/death yet.

Matrix 3 has annoying lines in it which made it a bit naff in places. This makes it a BIT dissapointing. But not much, just a bit.

Us "it's a bit dissapointing people are already in the lead on the vote even without those who refrain from voting. But, I guess that is why we are here.
