Firstly Revolutions sucked. We were expecting amazing and got mediocre. Most annoying was having no real explanation for Neo's powers outside the Matrix. It was acknowledged, sure, but a reason wasn't given.

Also... wasn't the fight between Smith and Neo uncannily like Dragon Ball Z? The aerial combat, the spirit-bomb-looking sphere, and (especially) the way in which Smith takes Neo to the ground.

either the style of the fight between smith and neo in reloaded, or the kungfu fights in the first movie

Some people will just never be happy with the movie I guess. I noticed that the fight at some parts was like dragon ball Z, but I thought that that was cool. The way the lightning would flash and time would slow down when they hit each other, and it went along perfectly with the music. And then when they were in the building and you could only see their shillouttes. I think it was done geniusly.

Even if you didn't like this fight scene, If they did another one like the first or second movie, it would be a huge letdown. People are expecting an incredible battle, imo, it delivered. If they saw the same old stuff, they would be bored because it would be like they never got more powers.

I think you can understand Neo's powers if you think about it. The most logical explanaition is that he is a human enhanced with cybernetic parts. There are three or four important clues in Reloaded about this. When Neo is talking to the Chancellor, and says he can't sleep.

[agent 1] It's him.
[agent 2] The Anomaly.
[agent 3] Do we proceed?
[agent 2] Yes.
[agent 3] He is still...
[agent 1]...only human.

Hamann: "It's a good sign." (Not Sleeping)
Neo: "Of what?"
Hamann: "That you are, in fact, still human."

Merovingian: You see, he's just a man.

Architect: "You have many questions, and though the process has altered your consciousness, you remain irrevocably human."

Seems to hint that Neo is not completely human.
Then Neo uses powers in the real world to stop the ships. So then people thought A) He Was a Machine or B) that the real world is just another matrix
B) can not be true, they would still need the choice to not be a part of the matrix for this to work. Clearly the people in this movie don't want to be part of any matrix. And this theory is kind of cheesy, and Neo's powers in the real world was the only reason this theory was created. Theory A) if he is a machine then why all these human references? Mentioning that Neo is human 4 times in one movie is no coincidence. I think trinity would know if he was a machine too if you catch my drift.

Well, how about a third theory that Neo is a man upgraded with cybernetic parts? I know other people have mentioned this, I just don't get why its not accepted more because this one makes the most sense. More reasons why it makes sense.

1) The Matrix has many symbolic references to the Bible. Jesus was God in the form of man. Maybe Neo is a Machine, in the form of a human.

2) I never noticed anyone mentioning the significance of the Chancellor and Neo talking in Reloaded. I got out of it that machines need humans, but humans also need machines. The Machines need Neo, and the humans need Neo. Supports that Neo is part human part machine.

3) Explanation for his powers in the real world. If Neo has sort of a WiFi connection to the Source, he could cause the machines to blow up in the real world.

4) Explanation for powers in the matrix. If he is part machine who is connected directly into the source, he should be able to do some amazing things in the matrix.

5) Who better to end the war between man and machine by making peace then a human who is part machine?

6) When Neo's eyes are burned he can still see machines in gold light. This is because of his cybernetic parts. By not being able to use his real eyes, he has learned to use his machine "eyes".

7) At the end, when Neo is being carried away by the machines he is all glowing gold. This is because the human part of Neo is dead and all that is left are the machine parts.

8. At the very end, Sati asks the Oracle if they will ever see Neo again. The Oracle says she suspects so. This does not mean that Neo is not dead, it means that since Neo was part machine/program they will see "Neo" again in the sense of the program that must reboot the matrix.

9) Why do the machines have Neo as a human? Because he has to make a choice regarding the humans survival (the two doors at the end of Reloaded) Humans need choice for the Matrix to work. A human must choose the fate of Zion.

Well thats enough of my rambling. I hope it makes people appreciate the movie more

"Spirit bomb"?
That was the smartest thing I have ever seen done in a movie.
First of all, it wasn't a bomb or some kind of energy.
The shockwave from the impact of their punches would send all the rain in an outward, ever-expanding circle, as the shockwave grew, it collected more rain on the edges of the Shockwave until it dissipated, at which point the rain would come crashing down in a larger quantity (as seen in a comedic effect of the onlooking row of smiths getting heavily splashed).
Quite ingenious if you ask me.
Also, it cannot be compared to the shiteness of DragonBall Z, where they don't really do the kind of thing they do in Revolutions.
They really just stand there chocking energy shit at each other, and reusing hordes and hordes of frames.

The fact that you can even compard it to dragonball shows that you completely missed the artistic aspects of this scene, not to mention the astounding CGI. (Anyone else catch the rain trails falling off them as they spiralled upwards?)

You were right, Smith. You were always right.

Matrix 3 was a huge dissappointment. The 1st thing I thought of too was DBZ when I saw that scene. Now I admit that I'm a huge DBZ fan, but if I want to watch DBZ fighting, I'll watch DBZ.

Also, real kung-fu fighting in this scene (and in all of matrix 3 for that matter) was sorely lacking. Skill, technique, takedowns, strikes, reversals, etc. should have been showcased from the jump. Perhaps after the fight escalated enough they could have then switched to the raw power, sluggfest, slamming bodies into each other at mach 10 type fighting they showed in the movie.

Guys, not to pick a fight, but how old are you? Comparing a children's television show to a complex movie not designed for kids?

As I can see you can't get what is Dragon Ball theories and why these movies have less solid structure than the as you consider silly Dragon Ball series...

You must analyze deeply what is the purpose of the movie in long terms and you'll understand that Dragon Ball has a high deeper philosophy inside it than Matrix Revolutions... the only difference is the media...

F.Y.I i didn't call DBZ "silly" 3Tooth , i just don't think it does the film(s) justice to be comparing it with a cartoon for kids. You have your opinions, I'll have mine.

If a film reminds people of a "cartoon for kids" that is the film's fault, not the audience's.

I've never seen DBZ, so I have no opinion on this matter.

Some cartoon for kids are specifically designed, especially in the Dragon Ball series to teach some rules of life to kids, also entertaining them.
You're taking so down these products without knowing them well... It's all about training and giving replies... What this beautiful move really doesn't...

This can be an excuse for any lame movie, no matter how stupid it was.

Yes, that's true, but by thinking about it one merely comes up with another theory.
