Hey, my first post!

I just recently found this Forum, so I hope you will all forgive me if what I post now has already been mentioned, once, twice or 100 times.
First of all, the storyline of using human’s for energy ridiculous. I’m sure it has been mentioned here before that there are much easier ways to obtain energy than building a cocoon for every human on Earth, constantly feeding them, removing their waste every 24 hours, and then maintaining a software program (The Matrix) in order to keep their minds occupied (since that would be easier than controlling them by simply breaking their necks to render the humans “brain dead”).
This is how I would explain the need for the Matrix:
The origin of the Matrix was based on a primitive software program developed by humans to help record and collect information about human nature. They used this data to help create advanced algorithms for artificial intelligence. In other words, in order to create a machine that had the ability to problem solve, think creatively, and power to innovate, the humans created a technology and software program to study and collect information from as many people as possible. Unfortunately, the software program was too successful, and years later the machines took over the experiment, capturing every human on earth in order to plug them in so they could continue perfecting themselves at a faster rate.
The machines from the outer world started realizing the algorithm was degrading and was becoming more human as time went on, so they began the long and complex process of pulling the plug. The technology between the Matrix and the Machines was still very much coupled together, so they weren’t able to just simply pull the plug in one single effort.
Fearing for their own self-preservation, “the Programs” who were in charge of continuously improving the algorithm didn’t want it to end. These Programs knew that the only chance for survival was to make the humans “aware” of what was going on. They began educating the humans and helping them “unplug” themselves so they could go out and defeat the Machines in the Outer World. The Machines knew this was happening, so they themselves tried to interfere by using the Smiths.
Also, instead of just a single Matrix, there could have been several Matrices based on different time periods, since this would have helped the Machines study how humans interacted in each. Each Matrix could have had “the One”, and each of them could have developed the ability to jump Matrices and interact with “One” another.
Shoving each and every human into a cocoon, feeding them, removing their waste, all while entertaining their minds with the Matrix to control them is not very feasible, even in “Imagination Land”. Building an array of solar collectors that captures the sun’s energy and beams it down to the Earth’s surface is more believable.
