»Significance of Eyes?«

1. The Merovingian wants the Eyes of the Oracle in exchange for Neo.

2. Smith becomes able to ‘see’ after copying himself onto the Oracle

3. Neo loses his eyes.

4. Neo is able to ‘see’ the gold code of Smith/Bane and the machines.

I know that this is a significant theme, but I can’t seem to decode its relevance. Any thoughts?

dont know how many people noticed or are even aware but the 'spike' thingy that they plug in to their heads looks about long enuff to reach the centre odf their brain. it is at this point that the pineal gland resides in the human brain and is refered to as the 'spiritual centre' of the human being. when resonating in harmony with the pituatry(?) gland and the hypothanmus (normally stimualted and sycd thru deep meditation) they activate what is know as 'The eye of Shiva' or 'The all seeing eye'. when these 3 glands resonate in harmony it creates a swirling vortexy kind of energy which you can see things through but it takes ages and loads of discipline. it is not a physical eye. its a spiritual eye and the fact that it is generated through syncd vibration and is itself non physical enables the viewer to view that which doesnt actually reside within our physical dimension (hense 'all seeing'). dont take my word for it- go to google and type the relevant keywords. when i cast my mind back to scenes at the start of the first matrix it is probably these searches that got Neo in that situation in the first place. the rabit hole goes a lot deeper than you think!
