»Will There Be Another "ONE"?«

I was just wondering that if in the innevitable event of the peace coming to an end, and the humans and machines are at war once again, will there be another "The One".

We are led to believe that 'the one' is an anomoly of mathematical equations used to create the matrix. This is the 6th matrix, there as been 5 before. Therefore 5 other 'the one's'.

neo is the 6th one and we believe him to be 'dead'.

If the war does start again, there will not be another 'one' because the matrix has not been recreated/redisgned, therefore no mathematical anomoly.

So, if the war starts, will there be 'the one' who can help?

human mind cannot be calculated and predicted with mathematical formulas... Yes it is possible that in one situation we usually react a certain way (so then we are predictable with formulas) but the day we react a different way then it becomes a mathematical anomaly.

So yes I think that in theory there would be another Neo someday as the machines can't create a world without a flaw. That is because machines are rationnal, their reactions are based on formulas and mathematical equations, they are predictable. As for us, humans, our reactions are based on intelligence, experience (wich "might" be predictable) but also on feelings wich definatly makes us unpredictable...

But aren't we given the understanding that there is only one 'the one' for each matrix created.
Therefore if the machines and humans are at war again there will be no 'the one' because everybody is still livin in the same matrix.

That's if neo is no longer?

In answer to your question SWS, it is a different matrix. It had been rebooted at the end of the film. Remember when the young girl was lying on the floor and the cat walked paseed?

The prophecy was that The One, would return, and that the return of The One would hail, the destruction of the Matrix and end the war. What Morpheus says it this:

"When the Matrix was first built, there was a MAN born INSIDE who had the ability to change whatever he wanted, to remake the Matrix as he saw fit. It was he who freed the first of us, taught us the truth. As long as the Matrix exists the human race will never be free. After he died the Oracle prophesied his return and that his coming would hail the destruction of the Matrix and the war, bring freedom to our people. That is why there are those of us who have spent our entire lives searching the Matrix looking for him. I did what I did because I believe that search is over....


Notice how he says that this reborn MAN would bring the end of the war. He never says that the One would be the person to end the war... Just that the comming of this man signals the end.

This confuses me, as i consider Sati to be more similar to the original One in terms of power.. her ability to "change...remake the Matrix" proves this. [sunset at the end of Revolutions]

What IS Neo?

Sati means the "Pure One" [in hindu, i believe] then what exactly is Neo? He has amazing ability, yet he cannot remake the Matrix like the One can. Is he nothing more than a tool or device made to bring about the comming of the true One?

I would suggest that there will be another one, simply because the Wachowskis are releasing The Matrix Online, complete with the ability to view the oracle to see if you're the one.

i think that The One is a remainder of an equation that was changed at the end of Revolutions by the Machines voluntarily releasing any humans that want it. since a choice will be given, te tension creating a need for The One will be gone.

that is, until the humans decide that they want it all and re-open hostilities. then, i think the need for another One will arise.

Hmm, I was thinking that Sati was a program written by her "mother"? Anybody have the Matrix comic? I'm curious if it helps conclude any of the MANY questions still unanswered.

Neo is the chosen One. Not Sati.

THe chosen One was born to bring something: dead, life, peace or change de matrix. The chosen One was created; a machine-human-tool to destroy and to create again, to renew.... to give balance.

Sati doesn't bring peace,dead,life or change the matrix, she only make a colorful sky.
