I can't stop thinking about the very last scene in Revolutions and how it is only programs interacting with each other.
It seems to me like evolution as much as revolution, now that Neo has free'd humanity he seems to have also saved rogue programs such as the the Oracle, Sepraph and the Little girl who would otherswise face extiction.
The little girl particularily seems important, as her father says she is a program that was created out of the love of 2 programs. She was facing deletion due to the fact that she didn't serve any purpose to the matrix/machines other than to just exist.
Too me the little girl more closely resembles humanity than any other program in the Matrix we have seen. To the machines humans really had no purpose in the Matrix, their only purpose was to provide power to the machines in the real world.
I think now programs and humans can co exist together within the Matrix, programs like the girl will be created with no particular purpose other than to have free will and human emotions.
