how did neo stop the machines in the "real world"? the oracle talked briefly about it but i still don't get it. can someone go into detail on this?

on another note i really did enjoy the films ended but was disappointed with the action/story. the fight with smith was cool and the zion battle was awesome but the whole filmed seemed to lack the martial arts battle scenes that originally attracted so many people to it. the story was a bit weak at points but i felt the ended brang it together nicely.

What we got from the Oracle is probably the closest thing to the truth that were gonna get regarding Neo's powers in the real world. She said something about the power of the one stretching out past the matrix. You can wait for somebody to keep digging deeper and make up false conclusions to it but what the Oracle said is the best you can get.

They don't explain it. The Oracle just restates what we already know.

The Oracle basically said: "Because you're the One"

The Oracle stated that his power whether in the Matrix or out come from the Source. Neo as a person wasn't anything special. It was the anomaly in the equation of the Matrix that gave him his power. This anomaly was part of, and thus connected to, the Source. Since everything in the machine world is connected to the Source as well, Neo had the ability to interact with the machines in the real world be way of the Source. The gold energy (not code) that Neo was seeing was all of the connections in the machine world leading back to the Source. It wasn't "Because you are the One." It was "What made you the One came from the Source."

Neo came unhinged from his body because he interacted with the machine world through the Source and his mind was not ready for that. He landed at Mobile Ave. because of its proximity to the machine world. It was the closest place to the Matrix that his mind could find on short notice. It is no coincidence that he ended up in the one place (after the room with the Architect was closed) that connects the Matrix with the machine world.
