Neo dies (maybe) in a crucifix posture, which is highly symbolic. "The Machine Gods" last words closely mirror Jesus' words "It is finished."

What do you think.

I think that Neo was a failed attempt to explain Christ. Christ lived an earthly life sinless and perfect. Neo obviously did not.

I couldint agree more i mean Christ was indeed perfect and neo was not, I mean he had premarital sex he was not perfect. jesus was always happy he new what was going to happen before it happend he knew he was going to die on the cross and still did. Neo oviously had no clue he was confused and was trying to figure out what he was supost to do, Jesus did not there is no way that neo can even come close to explaining our savior Jesus Christ.

Just because Neo may represent/symbolise Jesus does not mean that he is meant to be Jesus. I do not belive the Wachowski brothers are trying to 'explain' Christ. In other words, Neo although resembles Jesus in context he is not Jesus therefore they will be different. Neo is afterall Human (although his consciousness has been altered... you know the quote) and will have human flaws

Yes that made me think about the crucifixion of Christ also, but Jesus was the one who states it is finished in the Bible, so how does that tie in?
