[Matrix Reloaded] Ghost: "But you'd have to take out a whole city block to kill the power to a building like that." Keymaker: "Not one, 27." Vector: "27 blocks?"

OK, then it's a fault of the Wachowskis to make a "Reloaded" (including trailers for "Revolutions") that puts all the riddles in our minds but leaves us hanging in the air after Revolutions.
*Trinity: "Six hours ago I was ready to give anything"
Pointless
*Morpheus: "He fights for us"
Pointless
*Persephone: "He was once like you"
Pointless
*The Kid bringing the spoon
Pointless
*Merovingian: "Bring me the eyes of the Oracle". Trinity: "No". Merovingian: "OK"
Pointless. This is one of the biggest leg pulling trailers of all times.
*The Oracle's kitchen in Matrix code
Pointless. Leg pull #2
*The trainman's jumping
Pointless
*The Kid's story
Pointless. The Kid is just a kid.
*The glowing thing going thru Neo (Final Fantasy style)
Pointless
Dirty tricks to increase sales.
Although filmed at the same time it looks like two different movies for me. Like Highlander 1 vs Highlander 2

you guys really just need to relax..
this is one of the best stories of all time.... period. we all know that..
knnknn, i think that you were expecting a religious experience or something.... everything is there man... it is... i got it all, and so did a lot of people... we all knew how this was going to end, and they did it just fine...
what did you guys expect?, one of those regular movie scenes, thats like "ok, this is what is happening and why and this is was is going to happen and why"
neither of the first two were like that... theres no reason to assume that the third was....
the worst part about all of this is simply the fact that its all over now... nothing to speculate on or look forward too....
im satisfied with the movie.... and a real fan, and somebody who understands will be too...

Well, I wouldn't say..."nothing". Nothing is too empty. It's just that the speculation, however sound, may not get that stylish bloat so many people love to take for granted. The Matrix is, after all, about old ideas re-arranged in surprising ways, all wrapped up in black latex, cracked glass, violent choreography and other bloat -- all parts are essential. People who don't like the bloat can go watch Mel Gibson's flick. (Go on Ebay and get yourself a few good Aramaic-English dictionaries first -- you'll need them.)
I suspect if more people, myself included, get a crash course on Buddhism -- not that many people will -- you'd get a whole new range of perspective.

Come now, you shouldn't believe everthing you see an an advertisement, no matter how slick it is. I did a video component in my Bachelor of Visual Arts, and I know just how easy it is to misdirect by judicious editing.
In fact, I'm sure an awful lot of what was said about #3 and its makers (includine "leaked" scripts and rumours about sexuality/gender) has all been clever misdirection. I only really saw the trailers a week before seeing #3, so I'm not really upset about what wasn't shown.
knnknn wrote: | *The Kid bringing the spoon
Pointless | How so? It showed that not just Neo had escaped from the matrix.
knnknn wrote: | *Merovingian: "Bring me the eyes of the Oracle". Trinity: "No". Merovingian: "OK"
Pointless. This is one of the biggest leg pulling trailers of all times. | Ah yes, but he never had the chance, did he, 'cause Smith got there first!
knnknn wrote: | *The Oracle's kitchen in Matrix code
Pointless. Leg pull #2 | Clearly there was something else going on there, when Smith absorbs the Oracle, and it's interesting to note that the absorbed Oracle is the one doing the manic laughter. knnknn wrote: | *The Kid's story
Pointless. The Kid is just a kid. |
He did his bit. Everyone had a part to play. This was an epic, not just the story of a super-hero. knnknn wrote: | | Although filmed at the same time it looks like two different movies for me. Like Highlander 1 vs Highlander 2 | ...perhaps, though i enjoyed #3 much more than #2. The fighting in #2 seemed a bit too over-the-top, whereas in #3 (though there was lots of it) it did have some point.
Sorry you didn't like #3, but just because everything hinted at wasn't explained, doesn't make it a bad flick.

Why do you blame this on the kid? Thre are stories in stories in stories in stories! Just look at shakespeare! The servants always play parts! Lord of the Rings! Aragorn's story, Tom Bombadil's story! EVERYONE HAS A STORY TO TELL.
This is one of the good things about M3. The stories. Mifune's story, Zee's story, the KID's STORY. It was good. I liked that part a lot. The stories within stories are like life. It happens. Just when we get a glimse at history, WE'RE ONLY GETTING 1 story, and that's what usually happens in movies. So this is why it was so good. It was complex. Now I admit, there are some parts that are really funnily stupid. Like Agent smith getting hit in slo-mo (heeheehee!). But these stories helped make the WHOLE STORY. I mean, look at Palistinians and Israel (we're not getting into that, don't worry). THERE IS MORE THAN 1 STORY IN THAT WHOLE COMPLICATED ISSUE.
So it did have purpose. Because w/o the kid, Niobe and Morpheus would have died.

knnknn is like Morpheous, he has lost his faith. He has dreamed a dream, but now that dream is gone from him. Let's all pitch in and try to help knnknn regain his faith in Matrix and his website. Let's help him have purpose. I want to see every post from now on explain to knnknn at least one part of the movie (revoultions) and why it was significant to the whole story (m1-m3).
For example:
Merv was probably essential to the other One's...but quoting from the movie..."Some things do change"

Personally I loved revolutions, and I think that it was the only way it could've ended. If you are so disappointed with Revolutions, why don't you give us a synopsis of what you would've liked to see KnnKnn?
Also, I hate when people on this site complain that there were to many fight scenes in Rev. I mean come on people it is the end of a war! I guess that you just suspected that the humans and machines would sit down and talk when the machines finally got to zion. Well, I am personally happy with how everything turned out, and I think people like KnnKnn need to just lighten up. I think ya'll are just mad your theory wasn't right, or some other petty reason like that. Revolutions needs to be appreciated for what it was: the climax of a great story.

Matrix is the most intelligent movie ever done, that's hard to deny. The last tome could have lasted longer and relative to our questions I guess Wachowskis will release a lot of other stuff.

When movie trailers are made, i dont think they're supposed to tell you when the real stories are. They're there to tease you to come and see the flick. BUt then on the trailer, at least they stuck with the story-line of Agent Smith getting greedy and wanting to have it all.
I think the movie Matrix makes sense. It all about the greatness of our humanity. Love, faith, hope.
Notice how the machines, the architect, agent smith, keeps making fun of our emotions while some machines are amazed at it, Oracle, Indian guy at train, Perse..
The machine tried to understand us, but being the way we are which is predictable and calculated, they couldn't. Even Agent Smith in the end was asking why Neo keeps fighting when he knows there is no way he can win.
If a machine was in the same situation, he would make the conclusion that he cannot win and would just surrender. Just like the general who is in charge with the security of Zion. Without faith and hope, you just give up. It is our human qualities that makes us wonderful creatures.
The essencmace of the movie is about CHOICES and its consequences. Our fate is determined by the choices we make and it is not something that can be predetermined. The machine keeps telling us this simple truth.

I feel that, if all the questions had been answered, this site would be pointless. In the absence of answers, however, this site is still useful. It is true that we tried to reach our answers through logic and the films were prepared to ignore some of this (stopping the sentinels, being in the matrix without a plugin). This is the primary problem that we are faced with.
We have some possibilities.
1. We Delete the site and make a new one, based on what we have learned. Eventually, KnnKnn will be reborn within it and this time he will lead us to creating a better site. This process is repeated six or seven times until, eventually we make peace with the wachowskis or defeat them.
2. We preserve the site as an archive of "what may have been", whereby we can show the depths of meaning within the films and thus pay tribute to them. There is a lot of potential philosophy to be found. We must, however, recognise that logical proofs are no longer the avenue of progress. We are looking more at musings and theory.
3. We petition the Wachowskis to answer some questions for us.

Yeah thought about that , too. Hollywood keeps me alive.

Since they came with a twistless Revolutions I suppose they should petition us.
They leave all to comic writers now, so I started:
